Women’s League: 8 needed, how many go? Reveal the fixed teams

The women’s league of the second semester was reactivated and could be a realityafter last Thursday the Dimayor assembly ruled it out.

The president of the Dimayor, Fernando Jaramilloconfirmed that 8 teams are needed to hold the tournament in the second semester.

The Ministry of Sports and the Colombian Football Federation are pushing for the tournament to become a reality, but the teams need to commit to play.

In previous days it has been said that around 8 teams are ready to participate, but the number has been decreasing.

How many there are?

The owner of América, Tulio Gómez, wrote on Twitter this Saturday that there are 4 teams that are confirmed and ready to start, and invited the others to join in order to develop this second championship of the year.

“Cali, América, Millonarios, Cortulua, we are ready to play the women’s league, who else joins? With 4 more teams we start”, was the trill of the leader and businessman.

In addition, he invited the private company to join. “We need companies to sponsor women’s soccer teams, especially brands that produce items for women, women are very good consumers,” she added.

Thus, it is expected that in the next few hours other teams will be encouraged and confirm their participation in writing, otherwise Dimayor will not be able to confirm the holding of the tournament in the second semester.
