First modification:
Joe Biden pushed the first law on violence against women in 1994 when he was a Senator. This legislation was periodically endorsed until it was stopped in 2019, in part, due to the debate on the carrying of weapons. Biden, today president, has asked to approve a new law that already has a bipartisan agreement. Since its entry into force, the law has achieved a 50% decrease in cases of violence within the couple, but a third of Americans are still victims.
