That’s how it is. If it hadn’t been for an Apple Watch, rescuers wouldn’t have been able to find Young Sook An.a 42-year-old woman who was kidnapped and stabbed to death by her own husband.

The events occurred last Sunday, October 16, when around noon, Young Sook An was raped by Chae Kyong An at her home in Washington, USA.
According to the official police report, the couple was in the middle of an estate settlement process for their divorce, and that afternoon they had discussed some amounts of money.

Reports say that Kyong beat and duct-taped Sook in her room after one in the afternoon. Later, he put her in his truck and drove to a forest near Seattle.
Upon arrival, the 53-year-old man lowered his wife – who was semi-conscious – and stabbed her repeatedly. Then, believing that she would soon bleed to death, he dedicated himself to digging a hole to hide the corpse.

After burying her, Sook quickly regained consciousness. He removed the duct tape from his mouth and hands before climbing out of the hole.

The official report also indicated that the injuries had been serious, but not so deep, which allowed him to walk until he found a shed to hide.
There the police, her daughter and the fire department found her. According to a Thurston County Superior Court file, “she still had duct tape around her neck, lower face, and ankles” when the authorities found her, almost 60 miles from the city.
