Among them, the document included an act on January 14 of last year “for the departure of two private secretaries from number 10 Downing Street – the prime minister’s office -“, but without providing details.
The newspaper Guardian points out today, citing sources whose identity it does not reveal, that this event was held in Downing Street, partly as a farewell for an adviser, who now holds a senior civil servant position in the Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.
The newspaper adds that “Prosecco” wine was drunk on the spot and that Johnson, who stayed for about five minutes, gave a speech thanking them for their work.
The third national confinement due to the pandemic had entered into force just a week earlier, on January 6, with the instruction to citizens to “stay at home”, which prohibited them from leaving their homes except in a limited number of cases.
The Chief Executive also attended another meeting organized by his secretary Martyn Reynolds in Downing Street Gardens on May 2, 2020, for which he apologized, and the celebration of his 56th birthday on June 19 that same year.
For its part, the newspaper Daily Telegraph ensures this Wednesday that Boris Johnson He was at his Downing Street flat the night a meeting being investigated by police was arranged on November 13, 2020, the same day his former top adviser Dominic Cummings was forced out of office.
Precisely Cummings – with whom today he maintains an open war – assured yesterday that there are “photos of the prime minister at parties that are under investigation”, in addition to maintaining that he had spoken with people who said they had seen photographs of events held on the floor of the “premier “.
Cummings said that if police spoke to Downing Street staff about an alleged party on November 13, there would be “witnesses who would say they could hear a party with Abba playing.” The former adviser also accused
Johnson of “living in a nebula of invention” and “lying to literally everyone all day, including Carrie (his wife) and about Carrie.”
