Without rain and a lot of heat in Zacatecas: Weather forecast for May 13 to 17

The climate in Zacatecas will continue to be hot during the week of May 13 to 17, since no rain is expected for these days, despite the entry of a new cold front, according to the National Meteorological Service (SMN).

During the night and early morning of Tuesday, a frontal system on the northern border of Mexico It will combine with a dry line in the northeast of the country and the subtropical jet stream, generating wind gusts of 50 to 70 km/h and dust devils in Durango, Zacatecas and San Luis Potosí.

In addition, southerly winds are expected with gusts of 60 to 80 km/h in Veracruz (south) and Oaxaca (Isthmus of Tehuantepec), as well as gusts of 40 to 60 km/h in the Yucatán Peninsula.

In the specific case of Zacatecaswinds with gusts of 50 to 70 km/h and dust devils, with maximum temperatures of 30 to 35 °C and minimum temperatures of 0 to 5 °C during the early hours of Tuesday in the mountainous areas.

For the rest of Tuesday, a frontal system will extend over northern and northeastern Mexico, interacting with the subtropical jet stream and a low pressure trough over the northeast of the country.

On the northern plateau, where Zacatecas is located, a partly cloudy to cloudy sky is anticipated, without rain. Temperatures will range between cool and mild in the morning, and cold to very cold with possible frost in the mountains of Chihuahua, Durango and Zacatecas.

In the afternoon, the atmosphere will be hot to very hot, with winds of variable direction from 15 to 30 km/h and gusts of 50 to 70 km/h with dust devils in Coahuila, Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí and Zacatecas.
