Drifting isn’t just the way to get the most out of a set of tires – after all, it would be a shame to leave the last bit of profile on. It’s a good way to earn points. In real life on your driver’s license and in Forza Horizon 5 you can spend the skill points on other things. With a few skill points you can earn quite nicely in combination with a Willys Jeep. Then at least you have money to *grin* real Rota mounted under your Bugatti Chiron.
Better drifting in Forza Horizon 5
It is not a trick or a cheat, but a very simple setting. Do not set the gearbox to automatic but to manual. If you drive with a steering wheel, you probably already had that, but with a controller we forgive you the automatic. Somehow the machine chooses in Forza Horizon 5 always just the wrong gear, so you can’t get the right drift angle. Keeping it in the right gear will allow you to make longer drifts with more lateral angle. Oh, and don’t forget to turn off your traction control and stability control.
With the transmission on manual and the car in the right gear you can drift more easily and even better loop the slides together. By the way, if you want to grab some points quickly, head to the stadium and drift across the parking lot. Each tree or shrub that you pick up is extra points. The only thing you have to watch out for is that you don’t crash into the parked truck. You can only hit those golf carts sideways, otherwise your points will be lost as well.
As a final tip: pack a drift car for even better drifting Forza Horizon 5. You can basically drift with all the rear-wheel drive cars in the game and even four-wheel drive cars are fine. But the drift cars in the game still drift the best, especially if you don’t feel like adjusting everything manually. If you feel that you have reached your limit, you can still play with tire pressure, spring hardness or wheel camber. Or search Google for the perfect setting for your car.
