Last Thursday, October 20, I rendered my first government report as mayor of the municipality of Ahome. I did it before the council but, above all, before the citizens of the municipality, because, in addition to being an exercise in accountability and transparency marked by law, it was the right time to thank the citizens for their trust and their participation in moving forward in unity as a municipality.
I mention this because I am convinced that, as Benito Juárez said: “With the people everything, without the people nothing”, a phrase that has become a principle of the Fourth Transformation and that is done by example from the Federation, with our president Andrés Manuel López Obrador and that cascades down with our governor of Sinaloa Rubén Rocha Moya.
And it is that, without the participation and trust of the people, it is very difficult for governments, at all levels, to specify public policies designed for social, economic, political and cultural progress.
Examples of this are the determined participation of our indigenous communities, of those who are dedicated to fishing and aquaculture, of those who have their productive activity in agriculture and livestock, and of the Ahomean businessmen who from the beginning responded to the call of the Municipal Government and that have oriented their investments and generation of jobs towards the population with the greatest degree of marginalization.
The same thing happens with the coordination and interaction of the different levels of government and, for this reason, what has been achieved in Ahome has a lot to do with the fact that the Federation, the State and the Municipality share the humanist vision of governing with people at the center. the people, therefore, the main input for decision-making is the demands, proposals and desires of the population.
Examples of this coordination and shared vision are the cases of the progress that has been made in Ahome regarding the quality and quantity of drinking water that reaches the houses and, above all, in the issue of the drainage network that allows us to walk decisively towards the solution of one of the main demands of the Ahomeans, which is to prevent flooding in the rainy season.
It is evident that these works, of great social significance, would not have been able to advance as much without the support of the State Government which, in the person of Rubén Rocha Moya, has made it a priority for his government to solve, for the people of Ahomea, this age-old problem of the floods that generate so many losses for families, especially the most vulnerable.
The same happens in the case of Public Security, where Ahome has achieved significant progress, placing Los Mochis, according to INEGI, as the 5th safest city in the country, which would not have been possible without the support and permanent collaboration of the Sedena, the Navy, the National Guard and the State Forces with whom we carry out the peacebuilding table on a daily basis in person.

Thus, at Ahome we will continue to work side by side with the people, through a policy of consensus that generates unity and governability, because we know that only in this way will we achieve the shared objective that the people and the government have, of becoming active participants in a State of Wellness.
