With low participation, the truck drivers’ strike began on Monday (1) and should continue until the 15th. The Brazilian Association of Motor Vehicle Drivers (Abrava) managed, through the Federal Regional Court of the 1st Region (TRF-1 ), overturn the injunctions that prohibited demonstrations on highways.
In reading the TRF-1, the decision on the injunctions calling for the end of the strike must come out of the Labor Court. These injunctions established a fine of up to R$ 10,000 for the striker who disobeyed the Judiciary’s decision prohibiting the partial obstruction of trucks in 29 points in the country.
