The goal was scored by midfielder André at 45 minutes of the final stage, after the changes made by coach Roger Machado that gave more encouragement to Tricolor. The move started with Kayky, who played for Luiz Henrique. In speed, the attacker went deep and crossed backwards, finding free the steering wheel that only kicked into the goal.

With the result, Fluminense broke a streak of four games without a win, reached 13 points and temporarily assumed the 7th position. Coach Rogério Ceni’s team, which was better during practically every game and wasted good chances to score, was parked on 12 points, with seven games, and now occupies 9th place.

The next round foresees another derby for Flamengo, who will face Atlético Mineiro, in Mineirão, on Wednesday (7). On the same day, Fluminense will play at home against Ceará.

Palmeiras got an important victory over Sport by 1-0 this Sunday afternoon (4), at Ilha do Retiro, also for the 9th round of the Brazilian Championship. The goal of the game was scored by midfielder Gustavo Scarpa in the 37th minute after a beautiful move by Danilo from the right.

This was the São Paulo team’s fifth victory in the last six games and left Alviverde with 19 points in the vice-leadership with the same score as Athletico Paranaense. Meanwhile, the Lion from Pernambuco had only six points and is very close to the relegation zone. Currently, the team from Recife is in 16th place.
