After the shocking announcements resumed in the past weeks and months, the situation for Activision Blizzard is becoming more and more critical, due to countless allegations of sexism and of toxic behavior in the workplace, and it seems that too Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, is considering whether or not to cut relations between the two companies.
After all, the Activision / Blizzard story of sexual harassment and toxic workplace behavior on employees and most of all on employees, has shaken the gaming public multiple times and spurred a strong response even legal, later this year.
Other than that, it was recently found that the same CEO of the American brand father of WOW, Bobby Kotick was perfectly aware of hell to which several people in the company were subjected, and indeed, an even more shocking question, it seems that (until proven otherwise) was personally involved in carrying out these actions.
Accusations of such crimes even at the highest levels have led the same investors to demand the immediate resignation of Kotick, who in their view it would be aggravating even more so is the very serious status in which the brand is based.
But it is obviously not over, because as often happens, the movement of countless masses also produces some consequences at the highest levels of commerce, and now even Phil Spencer, the aforementioned head of the Xbox section, would be considering whether or not to cut relations with Activision Blizzard in a clear way.
The situation could open up scenarios never seen before with Xbox that for the first time could cut it out all Activision products with consequences that are simply out of the question. Imagine, for example, not seeing the new call of Duty or Overwatch 2 on Xbox, with the related catastrophic economic losses, as well as the start of a potential snowball effect.
However drastic, this type of virtuous behavior on the part of companies is certainly to be considered as one winning strategy to achieve a certain goal. In fact, regardless of whether Spencer’s comment was made to defend women workers or not, the usefulness of taking a position has the consequence of potentially being able to change the market for the better.
Spencer’s comment also taken up by Jason Schreier, we leave it at the bottom of this article:
Xbox boss Phil Spencer has joined the chorus of industry professionals criticizing Activision Blizzard, telling staff in an email obtained from Bloomberg that Xbox is “evaluating all aspects of our relationship” with the struggling publisher. .
