It seems we won’t have to wait long to see Cal Kestis on next gen. While developer Respawn has, of course, previously released next-generation optimization patches for existing versions of the game, two native versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S are yet to arrive and have promised even bigger technical updates for these versions. EA has stated that this updated version of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order would be released in the summer, but it seems that the release date has already been leaked.
According to the latest rumors, the update will be launched the same day it was announced. This will basically be the first drop of E3 2021, apparently.
The indiscretion would come from a UK video game retailer, which has stated that the announcement and the release of the game will take place at the same time tomorrow, Friday 11 June. In fact, the retailer already has PS5 copies of the game in stock, ready to go on sale. While the retailer in question hasn’t specifically talked about the Xbox Series X / S version, it is Microsoft console version will likely be available the same day.
Electronic Arts actually promised free updates for owners of an existing copy of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order when it first revealed the native version, which is always good news. We also remind you that EA has decided not to hold a show in conjunction with E3, choosing instead to move its EA Play Live event to July, so it is not very clear the choice of the platform on which to make this announcement. In the meantime, you can still find the standard versions of the game, which you can purchase at this link.
