In a period of poor news like this, the insider they never fail to make the news and now according to one of them Horizon Forbidden West could make an appearance to the next State of Play. The name in question will certainly not be new to you, especially if you are our loyal readers.
We speak, unsurprisingly, of Jeff Grubb. The journalist has often been talked about for his knowledge in the industry, and very often his rumors have turned out to be true. We recently talked about a tip from him, or Xbox’s plans for two similar IPs to Scalebound.
Now, according to the insider, Horizon Forbidden West could appear at the next State of Play. The game, according to what Grubb claims to “have heard,” has been postponed to 2022; if this were true, Sony could formalize the postponement on the occasion of the new presentation.
The question now concerns when the roundup in question is expected for the Sony console. According to what the insider tells us, the wait will be relatively short: we are talking about September, a very congenial date for such an announcement with an attached marketing campaign. To have a confirmation, however, we will have to wait.
In the comments to the post on Reddit that we cite above, Grubb himself wanted to specify that this is not 100% confirmed information. We would do it even if it were, but if in doubt we invite you to take it all with a proper pair of pliers (and today it wouldn’t even be the first time).
Sony hasn’t formalized anything about a new State of Play, but with absence from E3 2021 every moment is good to make some new announcements. Most likely, the company is still hiding a lot of rabbits in its blue top hat, and it’s not alone in doing so according to the latest rumors.
In fact, a more detailed one has recently emerged on the next Nintendo Direct. The Big N pioneered the road taken by the State of Play (and everyone, due to the pandemic), and the rumor includes sneak peeks of the titles shown. If both were true, both presentations would be held in September.
