After the presentation of the gameplay of I agree which took place during the State of Play at the end of May, there are still many points to clarify on the new multiplayer shooter created by Firewalker Studios. One of these points concerns is whether the PC version for Steam and Epic Games Store will require a PlayStation accounts for playing. In this regard, there is no official confirmation, but the well-known insider billbil-kun wanted to investigate the matter, although the outcome of his investigations is quite obvious.
As reported on the pages of the French portal Dealabs, apparently Concord will also require a PlayStation account, like all the other Sony team productions that have recently arrived on PC or are soon to be published. This also means that, barring changes in the coming months, the game will basically be inaccessible in many countries around the world (although they represent only a small part of the total audience) where it is not possible to create a PSN profile.
Another tile for Concord after the negative reactions of the State of Play?
The request will not be welcomed with open arms by PC users, in particular by those who cannot create a PSN account in their country, except through roundabout ways, which are still liable to be banned. Having said that, in all other cases it is reasonable to expect one much more moderate reaction than what we saw with Helldivers 2where players went into a rage also due to the fact that the mandatory PlayStation profile on Steam was imposed months after launch and with less than clear communication.
In any case, if the information is confirmed and communicated with the right notice, this certainly does not play in Concord’s favor, which among other things certainly did not attract the favor of the general public after the presentation of the gameplay which took place last week during the State of Play, as demonstrated by the very negative reactions on YouTube. We remind you that the launch of the game is set for August 23rd.
