Will Captain Carter have a live-action series in the MCU?

According to some rumors, one live-action series dedicated to Captain Carter it could be under development, and soon to enrich the vast and potentially infinite universe created by Marvel Studios.

It’s been nearly 15 years and the Marvel Cinematic Universe is ever expandingbringing a wealth of content to the big and small screen, including the highest quality productions made for Disney +, such as the recent series Moon Knight, currently being published every Wednesday. The Marvel universe is not going to stop, and many “secondary” characters will have light in the next works. One of these could be dedicated to Captain Carter, Captain America’s unshakable love and seen in the first episode of What If…?.

Viewers were able to experience an alternate reality in which it was Miss Carter who took on the super soldier serum originally intended for Steve Rogers, and become America’s new heroine in the fight against the Nazis and Hydra during World War II. Hayley Atwell she could now be the star of a new series, much to the delight of viewers and fans who believe she has had little space in the movies.

There are no official details yet on the series or the Captain Carter character who may appear on the small screen, nor on which universe it would eventually be the one in which the events would take place. The multiverse is currently up and running, and Doctor Strange opened a first, important rift in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Not to mention the series Lokithe first to introduce the concept.

According to the first rumors, however, it appears that Peggy Carter would be in a different timeline from what we are used to. In this universe, he would have contributed to form the SHIELD after the events that occurred in Captain America: the First Avenger. Marvel Studios stayed as consistent as possible with the cast, so Hayley Atwell would always play Peggy, and the actress was also the voice actress of his character in the animated series What If…?.

The addition of a series dedicated to Captain Carter on Disney + it would be an important enrichment and the placement of another piece in the Marvel universe, opening the door to other possibilities for future work.
