Beneficiaries of the Bolsa Família program are entitled to emergency aid as long as the amount of the Bolsa Família benefit is less than the portion of the aid.
Emergency Aid was created in April of last year by the Federal Government to assist vulnerable people affected by the covid-19 pandemic.
According to the rules, aid is paid to families with a total monthly income of up to three minimum wages, as long as the income per person is less than half the minimum wage.

Payments are in installments ranging from R$150 to R$375. Families generally receive R$250. The single-parent family, headed by a woman, receives R$375; and people who live alone receive R$150.
Caixa Econômica Federal begins to pay on October 18th the 7th installment of the emergency aid for the groups of Bolsa Família beneficiaries who opt for the benefit. The funds can be used through the Caixa Tem application, by those who receive through the digital social savings account, or withdrawn through the Bolsa Família card or the Citizen Card.
Those who opt for Bolsa Família will receive the 7th installment of the Aid two days before the recipients of the emergency program begin to receive the 7th installment.
On Monday (18), it will be the turn of those awarded the Social Registration Number (NIS) ending in number 1 to receive the 7th installment of the 2021 emergency aid.
The payment of the installment follows the regular schedule of the program, paid in the last ten working days of each month (see below). Payments are made each day, according to the final digit of the NIS.
In case of doubts, it is worth consulting the Caixa 111 call center, which is open from Monday to Sunday, from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm. In addition, the beneficiary can consult the site .
Those who receive in the digital social savings account can use the Caixa Tem application. It is possible to make purchases on the internet and on machines in commercial establishments, through the virtual debit card and QR Code. The beneficiary can also pay slips and bills, such as telephone and water, through the application itself or at lottery outlets. The account is a simplified savings account, without maintenance fees, with a monthly movement limit of R$5,000.
