The president and four footballers from Palmas Soccer and Regattas, a Brazilian soccer Serie D club, died this Sunday morning after the plane in which they were traveling to Goiás to play against Vila Nova on Monday for the Green Cup crashed seconds after taking off. The pilot of the aircraft, who was identified as “Commander Wagner”, also died in the accident.
The other fatalities are Lucas Meira, president of the club and footballers Lucas Praxedes, Guilherme Noé, Ranule and Marcus Molinari.
Here is a small detail of the careers of the athletes and the top leader of the club who was six times champion of the Amazonian state of Tocantins and who currently starred in a very weak campaign in group A6 of Serie D with 14 defeats in the same amount of presentations at the tournament.

Guilherme Noah
He was 28 years old and played as a defender or midfielder. He began his career at Corinthians and also had a stint in the lower divisions of the International. Since 2013 he has become a globetrotter: he played for 14 Brazilian soccer teams, including Ipatinga, Tupi and Palmas.

Lucas praxedes
This left back marker was 23 years old and always played in clubs of the rise of Brazilian soccer. He began his career at Inter de Limeira, debuted in the First Division at the Capivariano and before arriving at Palmas he played for Marília and Botafogo-PB.

Ranule
At 27, he played as a goalkeeper. His beginnings were in Democrata, a team of Sete Lagoas and he spent mostly his career in minor teams in Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro as Resende and Portuguese-RJ. He had arrived in Palmas in 2021.

Marcus molinari
He played as a forward, was 23 years old and the son of former footballer Marinho, who stood out in early 2000 with Atlético Mineiro. Marcus Molinari emerged in Villa Nova-MG, went through the Santos Under-23 team and later in Tupi and Ipatinga until reaching Las Palmas in 2021.

Lucas Meira
At just 32 years old, he was the president of Palmas Fútbol y Regatas. He was a native of Goiania and had settled in 2007 in Palmas, the capital of the state of Tocantins, where he graduated in Agronomy and developed his career as a businessman. In 2020 he ran to be deputy mayor of Palmas, but had to withdraw from the electoral race due to old judicial problems that he had in Goiânia.
