“The candidate is the project“Although the slogan does not bring good memories, since it goes back to the 2015 presidential campaign that led to Daniel Scioli and succumbed in the ballot with Mauricio Macri, is repeated like a mantra in the ruling party amid the speculations and internal that emerge at the closure in the Province of Buenos Aires and five days before the deadline for the presentation of candidates.
And it is supported by the certainty, provided by pollsters consulted by the Casa Rosada, that no name of those who are shuffled to head the ballot for Deputies measures better than the seal of the Frente de Todos and that in the Legislative Legislatures the management of Alberto Fernandez.
With this premise, the Government decided not to wait for the closing of lists to launch an “accountability campaign” which constitutes the last series of spots prior to the start of the race towards the PASO and the beginning of the prohibition established by the electoral law. It is not dissociated since it is, in short, the message that some ministers began to make visible on their social networks and that will be part of the rhetoric with which the FdT leadership plans to seduce the electorate again.
“Many things done, many things to do. Half term, full commitment“It is the legend that is reflected, as a conclusion to the review of different measures ordered by the Fernández administration, in advance flyers in graphics and that from this Friday will have replicas in audiovisual media.
“Many things done, many to do”, the slogan that reads on the flyer of the new government campaign.
With some exceptions, such as ministers Martin Guzman (Economics), which instead replicated the tweets of its peers, and Carla vizzotti (Health), the bulk of officials published “milestones” of management.
Not only the candidate in the Province must adapt to the concept outlined by the Casa Rosada but also that will serve as a platform for the heads of list of all districts: the campaign breaks the logic of the AMBA, incorporates the voices of citizens from different parts of the country and is adapted “for the entire national territory.”
“We seek to communicate openly the government events corresponding to the first half of the mandate, showing concrete, accurate data and the commitment to what remains to be done,” explains one of the ideologues. And it details that it is based “on four concepts: truth, empathy, growth and hope.”
On the first axis, in a brief from the Ministry of Media and Public Communication of the Chief of Cabinet, in charge of Francisco Meritello, it is specified that in the campaign “the facts are shown in a concrete, verifiable and certain way, and not their interpretation “, in a clear allusion by elevation to the fake news. Health measures are reviewed, with the purchase of vaccines in the center of the scene, social investment for vulnerable sectors, public works and the transport modernization plan, among other areas.
Regarding “empathy”, the text admits that part of the path outlined was not reached. “We are aware that there is still much to dothat the current situation is still not the desired one and that it is necessary to continue on this path so that the Argentine population can live better, “he says.
On the other hand, it reaffirms that the “growth” of Argentina is “the only way to fulfill all electoral commitments“And he adds:” Despite all that the pandemic meant, in terms of management and reorientation of the state structure, we are already on the path of growth, of reconstruction. ”
The fourth concept, perhaps the one with the greatest electoral tinge, is “hope” and includes the message pronounced by Cristina Kirchner last month, in her reappearance in a ceremony in La Plata, when she promised that Argentines they will “be happy again”, which generated a turn to the Fernández administration.
“Our message -the document highlights- seeks to strengthen the country’s self-esteem and transmit hope. Knowing that it was possible, in a context of adversity, is also knowing that it will continue to be possible “.
The dance of names for the “Mother of all Battles”
That the ministers were the first to get on the accountability campaign does not imply that there is a massive leak in the Cabinet. Fernández has not yet decided to hand over officials who accompanied him in the pandemic. “The changes due to differences in management have already been made,” sums up a close collaborator who rejects the possibility that the chief of staff, Santiago Cafiero, heads the list, as sectors of the ruling party pressure. “It is his alter ego, the one who takes him all the issues in the newspaper, he does not leave,” he completes.
Something similar happens with other ministers. In case of Gabriel Katopodis (Public Works) is emblematic: highlighted by governors and mayors, it sounded in recent weeks for its good image and moderate profile, which worries Juntos por el Cambio. But it would suppose a sensible loss for Alberto F. in a Cabinet.
Different is the situation of Daniel Arroyo placeholder image (Social Development), who would not see with bad eyes returning to Congress, although in the FdT they do not think it to lead. In this context, the actions of the head of the National Council for the Coordination of Social Policies, Victoria Tolosa Paz, they stay high. Also, as Clarín said, there is a lot of mayors, among whom appear Leonardo Nardini (Malvinas Argentinas) and Mariano cascallares (Admiral Brown), who amalgamate the ruling coalition and comply with the request that Cristina and the head of the Chamber of Deputies, Sergio Massa, made to the President: Define someone you can consider your own.
