According to what is established in the Federal Labor Law (LFT)one of the rights of workers in the Mexican formal sector is the restthis both on vacations, the weekly day of rest and holidays.
Regarding the holidays daysthe Federal Labor Law (LFT) has an official calendar of the days on which workers have right to rest or to be paid a triple salary in case of carrying out work activitiesconsidering that important dates are commemorated.

Under this understanding, it should be noted that some states also have holidays that are only valid in said states, as is the case of the state of Baja California, where a new day was added to the calendar of suspension of work activities, although it will only apply to workers in the service of the State Government.
It was at the beginning of this month of May when the governor of the state of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, signed the new General Working Conditions for the State’s basic personnel.
Among these new General Working Conditions for the State’s basic personnel is the addition of Father’s Day, as a new holiday, taking effect on the third Friday of the month of June.
“They are the ones who serve the citizens day after day, who receive them, who receive their requests, their complaints, who are there in times of rain, in times of hurricanes, storms, earthquakes, they are always there working in benefit of the society of Baja California,” mentioned the governor of the northern Mexican state.

II. The first Monday of February in commemoration of February 5
III. The third Monday of March in commemoration of March 21
IV. The 1st of May
V. September 16
SAW. The third Monday of November in commemoration of November 20
VII. October 1st
VIII. December 25
IX. That determined by the federal and local electoral laws, in the case of ordinary elections, to carry out the election day.
