Meta is working on a new feature to add to WhatsApp, i.e. short video messages that can be sent directly from the chat. This is a novelty that has been found in the code of the latest beta version of the app on iOS, even if it is not yet activated and it is not possible to use it, at least at the moment. Everything works in a very similar way to what can already be done on Telegram, WhatsApp’s number one rival: you press a key directly in the chat and, by holding it down, you can record a video message that lasts up to 60 seconds. Once sent to the recipient, even in a group, it can be viewed but not forwarded and saved, although screenshots can be taken. The videos will appear in the chat in a round window which will start them automatically. The option adds to the numerous changes that Meta is making to its messaging app, first of all the introduction of temporary groups that disappear after a certain amount of time set by the user: a perfect choice when creating a common chat that you will need it for a limited time.
