The last one he has published, the 2021 club ranking, is no exception, because according to them Palmeiras from Brazil, champion of the Copa Libertadores, was the best team in the world and National Athletic, the best in Colombia.
Deportes Tolima and Deportivo Cali were the champions of the two Colombian Leagues of the 2021 season. However, for the International Federation of Football History and Statistics, the first and second clubs in Colombia were neither of them.
Atlético Nacional, champion of the 2021 Colombia Cup, stands out as the best Colombian in 39th place, with 184 points on his ranking.
Junior from Barranquilla is second, in 42nd place, with 181.1 points.
Deportes Tolima, champion of the first local league of the 2021 season, came in third, with 144.5 points, in 85th place.
In the world
Palmeiras, who had finished second in 2020, with 322 points, moved into first place. Atlético Mineiro, also Brazilian, finished second, with 313 units, and English Manchester City completes the podium with 300 points.

How do they make the list?
The International Federation of Football History and Statistics defines its classification by giving a score for the teams’ participation in national and continental competitions.
That score is established by adding all the weighted points in each competition from January to December of the calendar year.
Ranking does not grant bonuses for completing a round or becoming champion. Each tournament has its own value.
