The Formosa police detained councilors Gabriela Neme and Celeste Ruiz Diaz, who days before had denounced Governor Gildo Insfrán for the conditions in the isolation centers for coronavirus patients in that province.
The complaint against the governor occurred last Saturday, after a video that recorded the situation in those facilities became known. Neme spoke that day about the images and assured that they were taken in the Preventive Isolation Center of the Cinquantenaire Stadium.
“After these images I have filed a criminal complaint against the governor of the province, Gildo Insfrán, and against the Minister of Government, Jorge Abel González, representative and head of the emergency table, because what these people are living is aberrant“, said that day the lawyer Gabriela Neme, now detained.
“There it is prepared as an assistance center for people with positive Covid, but the unfortunate thing is that there are people without positive or negative Covid results,” he added on Saturday.
In one of the videos he posted TN A woman is heard shouting to demand that the result of the coronavirus test be presented to her. “Where are our rights, where are the rights of the patient, I need the result officially, I’ve been waiting 48 hours to see the result on the page,” the woman claims.
Next, Elisa Carrió harshly criticized the conditions of these isolation centers, said that it represents a “violation of human rights” and called for federal intervention in the province.
“There is a very serious violation of human rights in Formosa”, the former deputy began her message. There he referred in very harsh terms to “submission, isolation and humiliation in schools by people who are practically besieged for 14 days.”
This Wednesday, the government of Formosa led by Insfrán came out to reject the accusations of Elisa Carrió. It was the deputy governor of Formosa, Eber Solis, who was in charge of rejecting the proposals of the referent of Together for Change. He did it through a requested, that was also signed by the members of the block of deputies of the Justicialista Party of Formosa.
“We see with deep concern how he accuses so lightly, from the most supine ignorance of what is happening in our territory, and from ignorance of all the effort made by the people and the Government united and organized in the fight against the pandemic that plagues the entire world with millions of infected and deceased ”, said that letter.
With the text, they targeted the referents of the opposition coalition Together for Change by pointing out that “what they do not get, not even for the votesThey intend to achieve it through fascist and truly authoritarian proposals. “
This Thursday they arrested the two councilors in Formosa. It was in the framework of a protest that was held at the door of a school in the provincial capital. They denounced that there were Formosans in quarantine for more than 20 days and without results of swabs.
