During the Encounter in Gaya, Bihar, the police killed a 10 lakh prize Maoist zonal commander Alok Yadav. The encounter took place late Saturday night in the Dhangaon police station area. The killed Maoist zonal commander was a resident of Chatra district of Jharkhand. He was a resident of Baraini-Sikid village under Sadar police station. More than a dozen cases are registered against it in different police stations of the district. The wire of Alok Yadav becoming the dreaded Maoist zonal commander is connected to Chatra itself.

Chatra Superintendent of Police Rishabh Jha said that Maoist zonal commander Alok was active under different names. He used to roam the area in the name of Gulshan, Santosh Yadav aka Ravi ji. Several criminal cases were registered against him in Chatra as well as various police station areas in Gaya and Aurangabad district of Bihar. According to information received from the villagers, Alok was named in the case of the murder of Triloki Yadav, a villager from his village in 2002. He was very frustrated and angry at the lock being given to his house. It is said that in this anger he went to the Naxalites. During that time, he was just 14 years old.

Weapon was raised at the age of 14
After this, Alok Yadav joined the Maoist organization and took up arms. At that time, the banned Naxalite organization CPI-Maoists spoke in the entire area. He was later renamed Alok from Santosh Yadav on behalf of the organization. It is said that he later made his home in the Sadar police station area of Chatra at Sikid and Bhuiyandih village while staying in the organization. Later, the Naxalites of the Naxalite organization TPC also demolished his houses. Since then, he has become more aggressive.
Had arrived to join cultural program, heap in encounter
According to the information, the dreaded Maoist zonal commander Alok came with his comrades to attend a cultural program held last night in a village in Dhangaon police station area of Gaya. The police got secret information after which the police, STF and the team of Cobra Battalion laid siege to the whole area. He asked the Naxalite commander to surrender but firing started on his behalf. Firing was also carried out by the security forces in retaliation. In which zonal commander Alok was killed.
Police-CRPF team running search operation
During this period, two villagers were also killed in the firing of Naxalites, including Jairam Yadav of Bela village and Virender Yadav, resident of Mahuari village. Police has sent all the dead bodies to Gaya Magadha Medical College. An AK 47 and INSAS rifle have also been recovered from the scene. After the incident, the police and CRPF are continuously conducting search operations in the vicinity. It is said that a reward of Rs 10 lakh was declared on the Maoist Maoist zonal commander killed in the encounter.
