The Marvel Cinematic Universe expanded its horizons through Disney Plus with the premiere of WandaVision and Falcon and The Winter Soldier. However, the Loki series was responsible for unleashing the multiverse at the end of its first season and fans couldn’t be more excited.
Now, What if …? comes as a unique opportunity to learn about alternate realities throughout its 23 episodes, but its ramifications in the MCU wouldn’t end there. In conversation with the Inverse medium, the producer Brad Winderbaum revealed that various stories and characters could have their own titles.
“All you have to do to prove it is look back and see how many stories from the What if …? Comics. they have ended up being part of the main continuity of the vignettes. Something similar could happen in the cinematographic universe ”, he told the specialized media.
While he said that each story from the animated show will be self-concluding, he is hopeful that fans will see more of the alternate universes featured in the first season. “It is difficult not to imagine more content with some of these characters,” he concluded.
