Red dots are considered one of the common signs that appear on the skin, and experts confirm that they are a normal sign that does not require concern.
“The small, reddish dot is a completely benign phenomenon called cherry hemangioma,” said dermatologist Jessie Cheung.
She added: “Cherry hemangiomas are small red bumps, consisting of clusters of blood vessels. They are harmless and do not hurt, but they may bleed if scratched.”
She added that it can be found anywhere on the skin, but most often appears on the chest, abdomen, back, arms, and legs.
For her part, Hadley King, a dermatologist, said about the reason for the appearance of these signs: “We do not know the exact reason, but there is a genetic factor that makes some people more susceptible to developing them.”
It is recommended not to attempt to remove cherry hemangiomas at home without consulting a specialist doctor, as the tumor may not be a cherry hemangioma, but rather it may be another type of tumor or skin lesion that requires medical intervention.
