Between nougats, panettones, roscones and other creatures that invade pastry shops and large surfaces at this time, the humble polvorón has become old-fashioned. However, some recalcitrants continue to defend it tooth and nail: what other Christmas sweet makes such a delicious shepherdess in your mouth? Which one can you play saying Pamplona with? Or argue about whether to squash it before eating it or not?
Polvorón is national heritage, and that is why we want to know which of the usual brands in supermarkets makes it better. That is why we called Laura and Bea Ferrer to blindly test nine of them and pass sentence. They know what they are talking about: they are the owners of The bell, an artisan candy and nougat shop in Barcelona founded in 1890 and famous for its artisan polvorones. If you want to know who won and who lost, watch the video above.
