Canadian flood
Start with the handbrake on Canadian GP weekend as regards the activity on the track. In fact, drivers and teams were surprised on the Montreal track by one violent storm which brought not only buckets of water and a strong wind to the asphalt, but even hail.
Inevitably, therefore, a good part of the FP1 session was wasted with i marshals who had to intervene to try to dry the track at least partially and make it practicable.
The risk of a nightmare weekend
The intensity of the bad weather that hit the Canadian capital was witnessed by the social media accounts of the Mercedes team, with Lewis Hamilton who showed the cameras the significant size of the hailstones who carpeted the paddock and the circuit just a few minutes from the theoretical green flag.
