Under 19 Juniores Regional Championship in Turin: the illness in the recovery of Villarbasse – Lesna Gold. The young Simone D’Avolio had attended a first aid course: “Everyone away, I know what to do”
“Everyone away, I know what to do!”. With this sentence, the young man born in 2002 Simone D’Avolio made his way to help Angela Benfante, referee of the Villarbasse – Lesna Gold challenge, fifth day of group A, under 19 regional junior championship in Turin. The illness that hits the referee in the injury time of the match is caused by a ball received in the back of the head. A blow that knocks the 21-year-old from the Collegno section to the ground, amid the bated breath of the spectators and the boys on the pitch. The reaction of the ASD captain Lesna Gold is exemplary, however: he makes his way among his teammates and promptly provides her with his precious help, a heart massage that saved her life. The technical gesture this time is from the first aid manual: “I knew how to behave having attended a special course. If I feel like a hero? I’m proud of me, but the most important thing is that she is well”, D’Avolio told SprinteSport.it, not before having finished the match regularly: shortly after the impact, Benfante returned to the field and resumed the match and then concluded it with a triple whistle.
