Development work continues at Porsche in view of the homologation and debut of the brand new LMDh.
After a first outing on the track on its own track in Weissach, the German team continues to grind kilometers in testing with its next generation prototype for the FIA World Endurance Championship and IMSA SportsCar Championship.
Always with the details hidden by the black-white camouflage livery, for the first time the car opened its … eyes!
The technicians removed the ‘camouflage’ film from the headlights showing their shape, which is, after all, faithful to that shown by the digital images released at the time of the announcement of this new program.

Compared to other racing Porsches there is a discreet difference because the headlights are four per headlight and rectangular in shape, almost unprecedented for the sector if we think of those fitted with the 919 Hybrid LMP1 and with which the various GTE, GT3 and GT4.
However, there is inspiration from the Porsches of the future, such as the Taycan, the Mission R concept or the virtual Vision GT.
The mystery of the name chosen for this vehicle still remains, which will have to be homologated by the end of the year and then make its debut in the endurance races of 2023 against its category rivals.
