The Italian flag waves on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit at the end of Free Practice 1 of the 6h which will take place on Saturday as the third seasonal event of the FIA World Endurance Championship.
Ferrari and Lamborghini in fact occupied the top positions of the Hypercar Class, with Antonio Fuoco who definitely made a splash at the wheel of the 499P #50, stopping the clock at 2’05″690, edging out 1″1 from his teammate in the #51 , Antonio Giovinazzi.
Under the sun that is trying to warm up the Ardennes track, where a fresh wind is blowing in some places forcing people to keep well covered, Daniil Kvyat recorded a good third time with the SC63 prepared by Iron Lynx, followed closely by the excellent Alpine #36 and the Ferrari #83 of AF Corse, which stands out among the private teams in the category.
The best of the Porsches is the #99 of Proton Competition, sixth with the two official Team Penske cars #6 and #5 behind it, while the Peugeot #93 and the Alpine #35 complete a Top10 within 1″9, outside of which remain the two Toyotas, respectively eleventh with the #8 and sixteenth with the #7, the BMWs, the Cadillac which takes 13th place among the M Hybrid V8s, while the Isotta Fraschini slowly tries to improve its times, occupying the last place of the lot.

In the LMGT3 Class, Daniel Juncadella took the lead in the #82 Corvette of TF Sport in 2’20″885, keeping the Ferrari #54 of AF Corse behind him by 0″335, with the Aston Martin #27 of Heart of Racing taking the lead she finishes third, half a second from the top.
Fourth are the Iron Dames with the Lamborghini #85, in the Top5 there is also the BMW #46 of Team WRT on which Valentino Rossi put together about ten passes, stopping about 1″ from the best time of the team set by Maxime Martin .
United Autosports has the #59 McLaren sixth, with the #60 Lamborghini of Iron Lynx and the #31 BMW of WRT behind it, with the #87 Lexus of Akkodis-ASP and the #91 Porsche of Manthey EMA finishing in the top ten.
Finally, it is worth mentioning a change made at the very last moment on the other Lexus of Akkodis-ASP due to the flu that hit Timur Boguslavskiy, replaced at the last minute by Clemens Schmid.
Free Practice 2, also lasting 90′, is scheduled for 5.30pm.
