Dempsey-Proton Racing has completed the crew of its # 77 Porsche that it will field at the start of the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2022.
The 911 RSR-19 of the LMGTE Am Class will see the usual Christian Ried at the wheel, joined by Sebastian Priaulx and Harry Tincknell, who Multimatic Motorsports has granted to the team.
“I am thrilled to be back in the FIA WEC with Proton after making my debut with them at Le Mans last year – said Tincknell – I was able to be fast right away with the Porsche despite having very different characteristics than Ford GT and Aston Martin.”
“I was very impressed with the team, which has extensive experience and great results. Christian is one of the best Bronze drivers on the grid and Seb a great Silver, as well as the son of Andy, my partner in the WEC from whom I have learned a lot. He has I did very well in the Porsche Carrera Cup and I am sure he will be fast in the WEC as well. Representing Porsche is a great honor, I am very motivated for this challenge, let’s see what we can achieve. “
Priaulx, son of the three-time WTCC Champion, added: “This is an incredible opportunity for me and I am really excited. Harry is like an older brother, I am delighted to be racing with him. I have known him since the days of the Ford GT as he was with my father and I attended the IMSA paddock “.
“Our goal is to win races and maybe aim for the title, I thank Multimatic Motorsports and Proton for giving me this opportunity, I will also be at Le Mans, so it’s the icing on the cake”.
