Nicolas Pino continues his rise in the world of endurance by joining Stellantis Motorsport as a youth program driver.
After growing up on karts and single-seaters, and making his debut in the IMSA SportsCar Championship a couple of years ago, the 19-year-old Chilean first achieved the podium at the 24h of Le Mans, and then made the big leap into the FIA World Endurance Championship, where he is competing with the McLaren of United Autosports in the LMGT3 Class.
Many had already set their sights on him thanks to the performances and great competitiveness shown in all the events in which he participated, and the French group has officially signed him, as happened last year with Malthe Jakobsen, today reserve for Peugeot Sport in the Hypercar programme.

“I am very proud to join Stellantis Motorsport and to have the opportunity to grow as a driver in different categories and with many manufacturers,” says Pino.
“In Chile there is great passion for motorsport and I can't wait to start a challenging year full of opportunities!”
In Stellantis Motorsport, in addition to the FIA WEC, the young people will also be able to be employed in other series such as Formula E and rallies, as the Vice President, Jean-Marc Finot, explains: “We were immediately impressed by Nico's approach. He is versatile and has great interest in our various activities.”
“We will establish a testing program in different categories and promote it, especially since South America is crucial for both Motorsport and the Stellantis Group. Nico is our first step in a young driver program that we intend to expand.”
