Ferrari also closed the second Free Practice session ahead of everyone on this Friday of the 6h of Imola, where the sun has finally come out to warm the environment and with the fans who are starting to arrive in the paddock of the FIA World Endurance Championship.
On the Santerno track, most of the teams concentrated, as often happens on the first day of activity on the track, on putting together a good number of laps, also considering that this is the time of the decisive phases on Sunday afternoon.
The best times in the Hypercar therefore largely arrived in the first laps, with Antonio Fuoco leading the official Ferrari 499P #50 in 1'30″957, preceding the Porsche #6 of Team Penske by 0″342.
Right at the end Robert Shwartzman took third position with the AF Corse Ferrari #83 (best of the private LMHs) overtaking the Toyota #8 which was 0.7″ away from the lead.
Jota's Porsche #12 is also in the Top5, one second behind the overall leader and with the two new Peugeot 9X8s behind, separated by the Alpine #36.
James Calado also took advantage of the final stages to take the ninth time with the Ferrari #51, overtaking the BMWs #20 and #15, and the Toyota #7 which is 12th, with the Proton Competition Porsche #99 behind him, protagonist of an off-track exit at 'Acque Minerali' about halfway through the session.
Lamborghini is 15th followed by Cadillac, Porsche-Jota #38 (back on track after the problems in Free Practice 1), while Isotta Fraschini finishes at the bottom of the group, but with many laps under her belt.

The Corvettes found themselves separated on the last lap by the Ferrari #55 of the usually very fast Alessio Rovera, who moved into second place with a 0″187 margin from the leader.
The Ferrari #54 of AF Corse is 0.6″ away in fifth place, slightly faster than the Aston Martin #777 of D'station Racing, while the Lamborghinis of Iron Lynx #60 and Iron Dames #85 make a good recovery they placed in seventh and ninth position, interspersed with the BMW #31 of Team WRT.
Porsche completes the Top10 with the #92 of Manthey Pure Rxcing, followed by Lexus #87, McLaren #85 and the BMW #46 of Team WRT on which the fastest of the session was Valentino Rossi.
