Ferrari has unveiled the livery of the two 488s it will line up in the LMGTE PRO Class of the FIA World Endurance Championship for the 2022 season.
The cars will be taken over as always by the men of AF Corse, who with Alessandro Pier Guidi / James Calado (# 51) will have to defend the drivers’ title won last season, in addition to the Constructors for whom Miguel Molina will also make their contribution / Antonio Fuoco (# 52).
Next week’s 1000 Miglia di Sebring is the first of this year’s six engagements and the coloring of the Prancing Horse cars has been slightly revised for the occasion.
The base remains that of the Rosso Ferrari with the large tricolor flag that narrows from the nose, passing through the roof and reaching the rear.
Instead, the white inserts have been modified, which from the side now turn into the inner part of the headlights. Here others have been added, as well as on the doors and above the car.
On the counters there is the novelty of the yellow stripe with the inscription Francorchamps Motors, which is the team that followed the 488 in the Intercontinental GT Challenge at Indianapolis and Kyalami.
The black-yellow Ferrari insignia maintains its wide position on the windscreen, now surrounded by the blue-red-black-yellow-green bands that symbolize the World Cup won in 2021, with the rear wing always black.
The graphics of the numbers, which are the same as last season, now have the numbers in white on a rectangle with a green background, that is the color of the LMGTE PRO Class of the FIA WEC.
The # 51 is distinguished by the red lower trims on the splitters and side skirts, as well as by the mirrors of this shade, while on the # 52 all this is yellow.
Finally, as on Formula 1, there is the logo of the 75th anniversary of the foundation of Enzo Ferrari’s Scuderia, placed on the side.
