Giancarlo Fisichella is not a common driver, quite the contrary. It could be said that it is a rarity.
Our first meeting dates back to a very special moment in his career, after leaving F1 and moving on to the GT Competitions, present at the test that he held in Vallelunga together with Jean Alesi.
An “epic” moment that marked his second career as a driver. The rest is written in the history books and, now, also on the web, which keeps all his results.
Roman, Romanist, cyclist, husband, father, rider and much more. In all these years he has always been available to everyone, never a misplaced word, an autograph or a selfie refused. He is dedicated to his fans, always patient and above all he always finds a moment for everyone.
In 2022 he will drop back into the cockpit of the Ferrari 488 GTE Evo in the LMGTE Am Class in the FIA WEC, and will share the # 60 wheel with Matteo Cressoni and Claudio Schiavoni followed by the Iron Lynx team.
The season will start with the Sebring Prologue on March 12-13, while the following week we start with the 1000 Miglia on the same track.
Then, a long stop until May 7, the day of the 6h of Spa. In June the most important race of the season, the 24h of Le Mans, in July the 6h of Monza, in September the 8h of Fuji and closes in Barhain in November.

“I am delighted to start this new season, especially as a new challenge presents itself,” Fisichella told Motorsport.com speaking of the 2022 that awaits him.
“I am really happy to have signed the contract with Iron Lynx and to find Matteo and Claudio as crew mates”.
“I will be in an incredible and growing team. To date they have distinguished themselves by winning in various categories. I am happy and confident, there are excellent opportunities to do well”.
As we said, it will be a demanding season with six very competitive races and the 24h of Le Mans, where Giancarlo has always been the protagonist as he has two victories, three second places and a third to his credit.
This is currently the confirmed program, but there is also the hope of seeing him again at the wheel of the 488 GT3 of Scuderia Baldini in the Italian GT Championship.
At the age of fifty he is always competitive, fast and reliable, a Highlander of motoring, like Gabriele Tarquini.
Symbol of a winning Italy. And to do that, we all know that it takes a beastly “Physicist”.
