Conrad Laursen will make his debut as a starter in the FIA World Endurance Championship at the 8h of Bahrain, the grand finale of the 2024 season which will be held on the weekend of 31 October-2 November.
The 18-year-old has reached the agreement as a Silver driver who will complete the crew of the Lexus #78 of the Akkodis-ASP Team, replacing the unavailable Clemens Schmid.
The Dane, after growing up on single-seaters, has accumulated experience aboard GTs since last season, taking part in the Asian Le Mans Series and European Le Mans Series and already achieving podiums and victories.
This year Laursen also raced in the 24h of Le Mans thanks to the invitation granted to the AF Corse-Spirit of Race Ferrari 296 in the LMGT3 class and will now make his first appearance with the RC F teamed with Kelvin Van Der Linde and Arnold Robin .
For the Akkodis ASP Team this is the second modified driving in progress, given that the first owner, Timur Boguslavskiy, threw in the towel in the summer unable to feel comfortable with the vehicle, while Schmid was in the car until the last round held at Fuji.
