A series of webinars to investigate and talk about the needs, fears and hopes of people with HIV. It’s ‘Let’s talk about HIV today. To look to tomorrow’, the initiative promoted by Adnkronos in collaboration with ViiV Healthcare. Now in its second season, the new episode will be broadcast on Monday 27 May at 11am, on the web and social channels of the Adnkronos group.
Conducted by journalist Maddalena Guiotto, the webinar will focus on the topic ‘How to increase the quality of life of people with HIV today?’. The advent of effective therapies against HIV has long changed the face of this pathology in Italy. Today, people with HIV live longer, they age, and therefore meet the needs of HIV negative people of the same age, often with some additional vulnerabilities not only ‘in the body’, if we can say so, but often also ‘in the mind’ or ‘in the spirit’. And hence the question that gives the title to today’s meeting: How to increase the quality of life of the person with HIV?
Discussing it will be: Miriam Lichtner, full professor of Infectious Diseases, department of Neuroscience, Mental Health and Sense Organs (Nesmos), Sapienza University of Rome; Silvia Nozza, infectious disease doctor of the Infectious Diseases Unit of the Irccs San Raffaele Hospital and Maurizio Amato, CEO of ViiV Italia.
