The Mexico City faces a yellow alert this Monday, June 17 due to high temperatures and the expectation of rain isolated during the afternoon.
The Secretariat of Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection (SGIRPC) has activated this alert in 12 mayoralties where temperatures could range between 28° and 30°C.
Residents of these areas of Mexico City are called to take necessary precautions against the intense heat and possible precipitation.
The municipalities affected by the yellow alert include the following:
- Alvaro Obregon
- Azcapotzalco
- Benito Juarez
- Coyoacan
- Cuauhtemoc
- Gustavo A. Madero
- Iztacalco
- Iztapalapa
- Miguel Hidalgo
- Tlahuac
- Venustiano Carranza
- Xochimilco
This preventive measure seeks to alert citizens about the potential risks associated with the adverse weather conditions in Mexico City this June 17 and promote the adoption of precautionary measures to mitigate any negative impact.
According to him National Metereological Service of Conagua, the weather forecast for CDMX from June 17 to 19 anticipate unstable conditions with cloudy skies and high probability of isolated rain.
For this one Monday June 17the sky is expected to remain cloudy in the afternoon, with a 40% probability of isolated rains and temperatures that will reach up to 29°C.
He Tuesday June 18the prediction is similar, with partly cloudy skies in the afternoon, winds of up to 25 km/h, a 40% chance of isolated rain and a maximum temperature also of 29°C.
He Wednesday June 19an increase in cloud cover is expected with a 60% probability of rain and showers, while the maximum temperature will drop slightly to 28°C.
It is essential that citizens follow the recommendations of local authorities and take preventive measures such as staying hydrated, avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun and paying attention to weather updates.
