On the night before Tuesday, snowfall is expected from Helsinki to southern Lapland. A longer frost period is known for the whole country over the weekend.

The next rainy area will arrive in the western parts of Finland from Tuesday evening, and snowfall is expected next night from Helsinki to southern Lapland. The largest snow accumulations are expected in the area from Oulu to Joensuu, where snow can come 5–10 cents. Driving conditions can be very poor in the area of the largest accumulations.

In the evening, a new rainfall area comes again from the west, spreading to the central part of the country. Thursday is cloudy in the southern part of the country and the temperature condenses around about five degrees Celsius.
Friday will see a longer frost period across the country. There may be a little snow in the south on the morning side of Friday, so the weekend may also be spent in the winter wilderness.
