Weather The new heat record for the summer was measured in Nuuksio, Espoo

Present the summer again set a new heat record, when the meter in Nuuksio, Espoo, fell to 32.4 degrees on Monday. According to the Finnish Meteorological Institute, the reading was measured at about 3 p.m.

The record now set may still be broken later in the afternoon, the meteorologist on duty estimates Jouko Korhonen. Monday’s second-highest heat, 32.2 degrees, has been measured in Kouvola’s Ut, where the airport’s large asphalt surfaces may contribute to raising the temperature by the end of the afternoon, Korhonen said.

The previous heat record for the summer was 31.2 degrees, which was measured yesterday in both Kumpula in Helsinki and Nuuksio in Espoo.
