Mexico.- The weather forecast of the National Meteorological Service (SMN) foresees the formation of the first tropical cyclone of the 2022 season south of the Oaxacan shoresderived from a low pressure area with high cyclone potential.
The tropical cyclone, which will have the name of Agathewill cause intense punctual rains in Oaxaca and Chiapas, as well as heavy rains to very strong that could cause floods and landslides south and southeast of the country, in addition to the Yucatan peninsula.
Similarly, it is predicted strong winds with gusts of 60 to 70 km/h, and waves from 1 to 3 meters high on the coast of Oaxaca.
On the other hand, low pressure channels in combination with the entry of moisture from the Pacific Ocean, will produce rain and showers, electrical discharges and possible hail fall in the north and west of the country.
Finally, the warm to hot afternoon environment will continue in most of Mexico, with temperatures that could exceed 45°C in Sonora and Sinaloa.

Maximum temperatures from 30 to 35 °C: Aguascalientes, Guanajuato, Querétaro, State of Mexico (southwest), Oaxaca, Tabasco and Chiapas.
