Mexico.- The weather forecast of the National Meteorological Service (SMN) foresees that the ctropical cyclone “Celia” will move to the south of the coasts of Oaxaca and Guerrero, and in interaction with the tropical wave number 6 will keep the storm of heavy to intense punctual rains in eastern, central and western states of Mexico.
The rains are also expected to affect the Valley of Mexico, the east and west of the Yucatan Peninsula; in turn, predict Torrential rains in areas of Veracruz, Chiapas, Oaxaca and Guerrero.
The rains caused by “Celia” could cause the increase in the levels of rivers and streams, floods and landslides.
On the other hand, a low pressure channel over the west of the Mesa del Norte, in interaction with instability at high levels of the atmosphere and with the entry of moisture from the Pacific Ocean, will cause very strong punctual rains with possible hailstorms in areas of Chihuahua; showers and strong occasional rains accompanied by electric shocks in the northwest of the country, with possible hailstorms in areas of Sonora, Durango and Sinaloa.
Finally, an anticyclonic circulation in the middle levels of the atmosphere over the southern United States will maintain the warm to hot evening environment in most of the national territory, with very hot maximum temperaturesabove 40°C in Baja California, Sonora, Sinaloa, Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas.

The rains will be accompanied by electric shocks, strong winds and probable hail fall.

Maximum temperatures from 35 to 40 °C: Baja California Sur, Chihuahua, Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima, Michoacán, Guerrero, Oaxaca, Chiapas and Tabasco.
Maximum temperatures from 30 to 35 °C: Durango, Zacatecas, San Luis Potosí, Aguascalientes, Guanajuato, Morelos, Puebla (southwest), Veracruz, Campeche, Yucatán and Quintana Roo.
