Mexico.- The weather forecast of the National Meteorological Service (SMN) foresees for this Wednesday, February 23, 2022 that the cold front number 30 will continue to affect northern Mexico.
In interaction with a polar trough, a polar jet stream, and moisture ingress, the cold front will cause strong to intense winds with gusts of 90 to 110 km/h in Baja California, Sonora and Chihuahua; from 60 to 80 km/h in Durango and in the Gulf of California; and from 50 to 70 km/h in Baja California Sur, Nuevo León, Zacatecas and San Luis Potosí, forecasting dust storms in these entities.
