The adverse weather conditions characterized by rain, strong winds and poor visibility unfortunately do not facilitate the search operations and prevent the use of helicopters.

“The water bombs that hit the high Tavoliere, from San Severo to Torremaggiore, caused flooding and serious disruption on many provincial roads. On the instructions of the technicians, I immediately activated the emergency procedures to deal with this critical situation”.
The President also added:
The extreme weather events we are experiencing require us to address the issue of extraordinary maintenance of road infrastructure. It is necessary for the Ministry and the Region to become aware of the seriousness of the situation and provide adequate funds for the maintenance of the ditches and the safety of the provincial roads that branch out for an extension of over 2,700 km. With dedicated resources we will be able not only to address emergencies, but to design safe and accessible roads for all”.
