The new game by Keiichiro Toyama, the father of the Silent Hill series, will be shown at theinaugural event of the Summer Game Fest. We’re talking about Slitterhead and, more precisely, there will be a video with the gameplay of the game, we don’t know if a trailer or something else.
The announcement was made by a very reliable source: Geoff Keighley, the patron of the Summer Game Fest, who did not add details, but published new artwork of the game, which you can find attached to the post below, and referred you to the showcase to find out more moreover.
Slitterhead it might be the new Silent Hill that fans have been waiting for for years, at least in spirit, considering that Toyama has already underlined that there are many differences compared to that experience. Closer to Slitterhead seems to be Forbidden Siren, from which the idea of taking on different points of view during the gameplay has been taken up again, even if the game will have some peculiarities due to the setting, the city of Hong Kong, and to the genre, a action game, so what excludes the presence of psychological horror mechanics. Or, at least, it limits them. Toyama and his colleagues want to create something different from the usual, while remaining in the tradition of third-person action horror. In short, there is a lot to discover about this game, which we still know little or nothing about.
