The Russian environmental operator proposed to improve the control system for waste disposal plants – to track the actual processing of packaging and goods. To do this, a register of enterprises should be formed, the data of which will fall into the state system for recording waste from the use of goods. Further, electronic sensors can be installed in these plants: they will record how much energy the equipment consumes during the day. This is stated in the proposals of the operator, they were sent to the government apparatus. Izvestia got acquainted with a copy of the document. REO confirmed its authenticity.
“Each device has its own capacity for processing packaging or goods, it requires certain energy resources. That is, if the equipment will utilize the waste received at the plant, then the energy consumption will be the same, but if the devices work at idle, then it will be reduced. The energy consumption invoice will make it possible to understand how much waste the plant actually processed, ”Denis Butsaev, head of the environmental operator, explained to Izvestia.
Now the companies present data on the disposal of packaging and goods on paper, no one verifies them, the REO noted. Sometimes manufacturers’ information raises doubts among regulators. So, for example, in December 2021, by a court decision, Samsung was fined almost 90 million rubles for fake disposal, the lawsuit was filed by Rosprirodnadzor.
