At the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year, the governor of Guerrero, Héctor Astudillo Flores, and the head of the Ministry of Education in the entity (SEG), Heriberto Huicochea, reported that more than a million students will return to classes in three different modalities.
It was explained that 86.5 percent will return to distance classes, 1.7% in hybrid mode and 11.8% will do it in person.
During the daily conference on the situation of Guerrero in relation to the pandemic, the authorities highlighted that the main characteristic established for the return to school is work first in the scenarios that constitute the lowest health risk, where the necessary conditions and the agreement between the parties exist.
In this regard, Astudillo made a proposal so that, in common agreement, alternatives can be sought in urban areass and “trying to get back to class without all the classrooms filling up,” she said.
In his participation, the head of the SEG, Huicochea Vázquez, explained that the hybrid modality includes mostly students from the Upper Middle and Higher education sector.
While the face-to-face system groups 1,334 schools; Of which, 1,032 correspond to the National Council for Educational Development (Conafe), that is, community preschool and primary school, the official detailed.
“It must be remembered that the strategy of returning to the classroom has many characteristics and the first is to return from the lowest to the highest risk.
“That is, according to how the epidemiological traffic light evolves, it is how we are going to go from schools with fewer students to those with a greater number, those with less mobility to those with greater mobility and of course, that we will have to be doing them in a responsible manner and with the authorization of the Ministry of Health, “he said.
