Several of the most anticipated movies of 2022 will not come to Russia due to the war against Ukraine. After Disney announced that it will not release its new films in the European country, Warner Bros has shared the same position.
In this scenario, they confirmed that The Batman will not see the light in that country to the surprise of fans around the world. The official statement from the study did not wait long either.

“In light of the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, Warner is pausing the release of its feature film The Batman in Russia. We will continue to monitor the situation as it evolves,” a WarnerMedia spokesperson said.
Other major companies that took similar action against Russia due to the war included Netflix, Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.

Disney on the cessation of releases in Russia
“Given the unprovoked invasion of Ukraine and the tragic humanitarian crisis, we will pause the release of our films in Russia, including Pixar’s upcoming Turning Red,” Disney said, assuring that it will make future business decisions as the conflict evolves.
Netflix’s position on the matter
The streaming platform confirmed that it will not comply with the new Russian audiovisual law agreed for March 1. This legislation would force to include twenty public channels to be able to operate in the European country.
