Intel, AMD and NVIDIA they decided to stop sales of its products in Russia as a reaction to the war in Ukraine which has been going on for several days now.
The three major manufacturers of processors And video cards therefore join companies such as Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Activision Blizzard and Nintendo, which have already taken a position on the conflict.
“Intel condemns theinvasion of Ukraine by Russia and has decided to suspend the distribution of its products both in Russia and in Belarus “, reads the Intel statement.
“Our thoughts go out to the victims of this war, including the people of Ukraine and surrounding countries, as well as all people who have relatives and friends living in these areas.”
“Based on the sanctions imposed on Russia by the United States and other nations, AMD has decided to suspend the sales and distribution of its products in Russia and Belarus”, reads the note from AMD.
In this case, the stop concerns not only the individual components but also the PCboth desktop and laptop, which equip AMD processors and video cards.
NVIDIA was the last of the three companies to join the same initiative, making no particular statements beyond a brief but eloquent “we will not sell our products in Russia”.
