Bandai Namco has decided to donate 100 million yenequal to approximately 780,000 euros, to the association Save the Children to support the victims of the war in Ukraineespecially children.
The Japanese company is the latest in a long list of companies that have thought it appropriate to act in a concrete way with respect to what is happening in Ukraine: We previously learned of the contributions of CD Projekt RED, Wargaming, Remedy Entertainment and The Pokémon Company, to list a few.
“Bandai Namco has decided to make a 100 million yen donation to Save the Children to support the humanitarian cause of war victims in Ukraine, who seek refuge outside the country,” reads the company’s post.
“We hope that the people and communities affected by this crisis can return to live in peace and tranquility as soon as possible”, concludes the message from Bandai Namco.
In addition to donations, the gaming industry has also moved with a series of sanctions aimed at the Russian market, stopping the sale of games and hardware in the area.
