An oil painting with a scene from the play ‘La vida que te di’ presides over the stage of the Lorca Coliseum to bid the actress farewell at the place where she made her debut
The mortal remains of Margarita Lozano were veiled at her home in Puntas de Calnegre, in her favorite room, a small room where her most precious memories were kept. After the funeral mass in the Puntas de Calnegre church, she will be buried this Tuesday in the Ramonete cemetery, at the express wish of the Lorca actress who shone in ‘Viridiana’. It will be after the funeral that will be officiated at 11 in the morning, confirmed the architect Simón Ángel Ros, a friend for decades.
A painting by the Lorca painter Joaquín Castellar presides over the stage of the Teatro Guerra to pay tribute to Margarita Lozano, who died at the age of 90. Castellar immortalized the actress in full action at the Lorca Coliseum in a scene from ‘La vida que te di’ by Luigi Pirandello, directed by Miguel Narros, which was staged on the stage of Guerra back in 1998. The imposing figure of the actress appears silhouetted against the black background of the stage, and in front of her her co-star, Mahue Andújar, lying on a divan. On stage were placed, in addition to the painting, several bouquets and a book of condolences for Lorca to pay tribute to the actress.

three days of mourning
After the funeral mass, at 11 a.m., in the church of Puntas de Calnegre, she will be buried in the cemetery of the hamlet of Ramonete
The flags of the Lorca City Council flew at half-staff and three days of official mourning were decreed for the death of a “universal Lorca”, as defined by the mayor, Diego José Mateos.
The film director Benito Rabal, son of Francisco Rabal, assured that the actress was “like an aunt” for him: “Margarita leaves a wonderful residue on this earth.”
The War will remain open this Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. so that their countrymen can come to see the oil exhibited in tribute to the interpreter and express their condolences in the signature book.
